To investigate, to stay curious, to experiment and create

I started to be very particular about my beats and my verbs and my acting has improved as a result of that (dreaded, sometimes) dilligence. It’s not as restrictive as it might sound, going thru your script and mapping it out, but that’s how I do it! I’ m a convert. and you’re not less immediate or spontaneous of an actor but there is more of a connection to DOING and that connects me to my partner and the circumstances of the scene. I have chosen some very ‘exotic’ verbs from my AN ACTORS THESAURUS for my character in the last reading I did. It is fun to enlarge your vocabulary!

I love to read and when my daughter was small, I read her huge books like Harry Potter that came in a series. Sometimes its more important to do a unique character voice or just a subtle variation on your own. I was surprised by the challenges of audio book narration, so much focus and self care goes into this discipline. Here are my humble offerings.
