are sacred objects for me, and I have been teaching myself how to make them for years. I experiment with different designs and amounts of pages and fabrics and handmade papers for the covers. I favor esoteric fabrics, gothic skulls, Dia de los muertos and Halloween designs. Nature is an inspiration for me so I use cotton fabrics, handmade papers, leather cord and metal buttons. I try to incorporate collage into my life because it’s exciting for me to reuse potential waste for good. Creation from Ruin! I hope my books, boxes and cards will hold interesting and magical items for others.

I’ve been making books for more than 10 years as a way to present my zine material and some of my short fiction. I’m always learning new techniques and perfecting the old ones, and it continues to be a good challenge and pleasurable. Working with paper is soothing for me, and it gives me aesthetic pleasure to shop for fancy paper. 75% of my materials are recycled.
